Races

The Races of Abaddon are vast and diverse. Most are derived from what humans had to do to survive in this post-apocalyptic world. Humans were wiped off of the world map a few decades after the meteor and are not a playable race.Players should use the Races of Obsidian Twilight book for racial properties.  All of the races are different from their PHB counterparts.

Dwarves -Their homes wiped out during the meteor, they wander the earth as scavengers.  Many hope to reunite all of the old clans.

Elves- The elves are also a fragmented race but did not face near complete anhilation as did the dwarves.  They wander in large tribes, pretreated into three factions.  The ash elves, the Myconian elves and the Weald Elves.

Exalted- The exalted is a race that derived from trapped angels mating with the other humanoid races.  This was a desperate move to try to boaster the angelic creatures numbers greater than the undead.

Gensai- The Gensai are seen as an abomination race.  Some angels and demons gave up on their war and mated with one another for survival.  The result were the Gensai. This alone makes the Gensai hunted by nearly everyone.

Gnomes- Many gnomes are hated for their reputation as being pets of the undead.  They suffered the least of the original races, their homes and dwellings mostly intact.

Haflings- Halflings had the worst of all the races. They were the closest to the humans, and when the humans were wiped out, the lost their civilization.  They are treated as animals in most of Abaddon.

Harrowed-The most horrific class to come out of the cataclysm was the harrowed.  The harrowed are half human half undead and derive from magical spells and natural mating.  Particularly with powerful undead who want offspring with noble bloodlines.

Infernals- Like the angels, the demons found themselves outnumbered by the dead as well, and began to follow suit mating with humans.

Kymer- Nothing more than pools of necromantic energy, they take host bodies for their own. They have mild psionic energy (there are no psionics in this game. Their bonus is reflected as an additional 1st level spell slot for casters, however, their abilities are described as psionic).

Lycian- After the meteor, the Lycanthropes began to no longer change, but instead began to transform into this permanent hybrid state. They are every bit as vicious as wolves and yet keep  somewhat of a civilization.

Osirion- They are the last of the human like races. They were among the first races created and still possess some of their inherent magical abilities.  Some societies have rebuilt cities and have formed armies to keep the undead at bay.

Raijin- Like the Kymer they no longer have real bodies, but what these Abaddon ghosts do have is a wrath to destroy undead and anything else they hated when they were alive.
